The A Team: There Is No Plan B

The A Team: There Is No Plan B

"The plot is easily digested, plus almost never change for each episodes, is a strength and weakness of this series of The A Team."
That tagline from the film The A-Team, which is based on TV series in the 80s with the same title. I remember I almost never missed a series of impressions of each episode of The A-Team on TV, when I was a junior and senior high school. Both versions of the film or TV version tells of an American military team that consists of four people accused of crimes they did not do, then four men escaped from prison and trying to clear their names.
For TV series, four person team background is the Vietnam War. At the beginning of each episode there are narratives that those accused of crimes in a military court, but escaped from custody and has survived by becoming a mercenary army. During the Vietnam war was still going on, Colonel Morrison as the military leadership ordered the A-Team to rob the Bank of Hanoi in an effort to stop the war.

The A-Team mission successfully, but when he returned to headquarters four days after the war, Colonel Morrison was killed by Viet Cong forces and their headquarters have been destroyed. This is made there is no evidence that can be claimed that the actions of Hanoi Bank robberies are carried out as a military operation, and as a result of The A-Team was captured and imprisoned. Because basically they've experienced a secret military operation, they can easily run away and escape from prison.
Avoid the pursuit of the military police, The A Team live as mercenaries, but always on the side of goodness. Their leader is Col. John 'Hannibal' Smith's - played by George Peppard - who always make a plan (which is most unusual but effective) of their actions. He's very recognizable, middle aged with white hair and always smoking a cigar. The second man was Lieutenant Templeton 'Faceman' Peck - portrayed by Dirk Benedict, had acted as Lieutenant Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica series - that is easy to deceive others and seducing women, and the duty to find the necessary vehicles and goods.
The third man was Sergeant Bosco Albert B.A. 'Bad Attitude' Barracus - played by Mr.. T - served as the mechanical and bouncers. People B.A. This is the icon of the series The A-Team, muscular black man, angry, with a Mohawk haircut and wearing a gold necklace. The fourth character is Captain H.M. 'Howling Mad' Murdock - played by Dwight Schultz, also famous in the world of Star Trek as Reginald Barclay - aviator who served as a pilot, and otherwise mentally ill and placed in the psychiatric care in Veterans Special Hospital.
The plot is easily digested, plus almost never changed for each episode, is a strength and weakness of this series of The A Team. Beginning with the problems experienced by victims of crime, then a meeting with The A Team, which is usually carried out undercover Hannibal, Murdock continued with the release from a mental hospital, then the business of The A Team tackles problems mostly ended with them captured or defeated by the antagonist , then met with backlash from The A Team has planned from the beginning to create new weapons or equipment a la McGyver, and is usually covered with The A Team Pursuit escape again from the government. Fully decorated with gunfire, explosions and fights, but there never antagonist severely wounded or killed because of it. Initially fun, but eventually boring.
Film version of The A Team still retain some special features TV version, with some changes. Hannibal played by Liam Neeson, actor best known as the Irish Qui-Gon Jinm in Star Wars: Phantom Menace and as Oskar Schindler in Schindler's List. Faceman played by Bradley Cooper, American actor he portrays on the series Alias, Will Tippin, in the film The Hangover plays Phil Wenneck. B.A. played by Quinton Jackson, American martial arts athletes. Murdock played by Sharlto Copley, actor best known as the South African Wikus van de Merwe actor in the film District 9, and in the movie The A Team alone there are moments when Murdock was asked in the language of Tanzania by the immigration officer was a priest but unmasked the Jews, he could answer smoothly.
In this film version, narrated initial introductions between Hannibal and Faceman (which was already a team) with a BA and Murdock. Background of the Vietnam War turned into the Iraq war, and the commander of the headquarters of The A Team was General Morrison. If the TV version of their mission is to rob the Bank of Hanoi, in this film they are assigned to retake plates for printing U.S. dollars and one billion dollars of counterfeit money which had already been printed. Just like the TV version, they managed to carry out their mission, but upon his return to headquarters, a Humvee jeep climbed by General Morrison exploded, and printing plates of money stolen by the group of mercenaries Black Forest (in the real world is actually the Black Water).
The A Team was accused of working with the Black Forest, while the Black Forest disappeared. This is the core of the film's story, how the business of The A Team to search for the missing money plate and simultaneously cleanse their names. Unlike the TV version, here antagonist could be killed, and The A Team is not up to become mercenaries. In this film also explains why B.A. experiencing the trauma of flying, which in the TV version was never explained why. As an action film comedy, this film is very entertaining, especially for viewers who missed the series The A Team. There are also appearances from the cast Faceman and Murdock TV Series (Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz), although only briefly; Benedict as Faceman will be freed from jail by Hannibal, and Schultz as Murdock will be released from a mental hospital. Although the terms of the plot of this movie, including regular and predictable, but that was the hallmark of The A Team: a light an entertaining spectacle.
