indonesia- KPAI Kemenkominfo Request Block Porn Sites
Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) urged the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (Kemenkominfo) to block sites related to the circulation of a video nasty porn like Ariel.
In a release received by reporters, ask the Kemenkominfo KPAI to explicitly block all websites on the Internet according to their delegated authority as set forth in article 19 of Law on Pornography and article 40 of Information and Electronic Transaction Act.
KPAI see Kemenkominfo impressed slow in making efforts to block porn sites on the Internet. Some countries such as China, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Singapore has blocked pornographic sites.
"We recommend the title but the same complaints. Menkominfo through pak Gatot Party (PR Kemenkominfo) said Kemenkominfo less IT resources. Hadi dismissed if blocking of porn sites as a violation of democracy. "For what does it mean democracy when pornography? For me, better go back to whatever his name rather than the democratic era of pornography," he stated.
Hadi see the pattern of police work have been slow to block sites containing pornographic content. "Whereas it has been content to their villages. The police are very competent to investigate thoroughly," he said.
